2010 Tournament Update

Well, it's only a short Tournament this year. The A grade finals positions are decided, although many B & C grades have games to go.

In 14 A boys we have an all interstate semi final Hills v Sturt, but the little pocket of Melbourne - Blackburn, Bulleen & Doncaster, has produced 3/8 finalists.

14 A girls is an all Victorian affair.

In 12 A boys Geelong and Altona represent the West.

Altona made it also in Under 12 A girls but Sturt is there to challenge the Victorian teams.

Some small groups have featured in C grade finals:

  • Plenty Knights (12 BB, 14 C-1)
  • Mill Park Blazers (12 C Boys)
  • Overnewton College (12 C Girls)
  • Bellarine (12 C Girls)
  • Malvern (14 C Girls)

The low light was at Diamond Valley when the lights went out and we lost eight games - too late and too close to finals to reschedule.

The Tournament is up and away.

Thanks to the teams who made themselves available for a Thursday start.

A little over half the games on Thursday night were decided by less than 10 points.

An amazing 11 games out of less than 75 were decided by one or two points but no tie.

Results of Thursday are posted on venue noticeboards and the Tournament web site.
